President of the Spanish Club at Hunt High School, Monica Sullivan, has plans to have close to 100 books delivered to the Mary Claire Satterly Playroom in the Lineberger Cancer Hospital in Chapel Hill. The Spanish Club had a recent fund raiser at a local Chick-fil-a establishment that raised money to help buy the books for the children to read and enjoy. The books donated are a combination of both English and Spanish for all patients to enjoy. Across the State of North Carolina, almost 20% of the children treated in the clinic are Hispanic, many of which will be visiting the Playroom.
The Mary Claire Satterly Foundation proudly supports and thanks Hunt High School’s Spanish Club and Monica Sullivan for helping spread “MCSpirit!”
