In December of 2008, Mrs. Satterly’s sixth grade students at Forest Hills Middle School in Wilson, NC surprised her with $287.00 that they raised themselves for the Mary Claire Satterly Foundation. In addition, several parents added $ 320.00 to that amount. 100% of their contribution and funds raised will go to help build the Foundation’s first cause, The Mary Claire Satterly Oncology Pediatric Playroom. Mary Claire attended middle school at Forest Hills and was also a student in her mother’s sixth grade class.
